What is it
“The Gathering” will be a weekend of celebration and fun! We are inviting you to attend our training seminars from puppy to advanced training, enjoy friendly competitions, and great company!

When and Where
The Gathering will be held May 4th and 5th at Sporting Life Kennels in Oxford, Ms. We will start bright and early on Saturday the 4th and conclude training seminars at mid-day on Sunday the 5th.
Dogs of all ages are welcome as participants! Here is an overview of the training classes
Freshman Class: What is the best way to start a pup retrieving, Intro to water , Food based training –how it advances learning – and much more!
Sophomore Class: What do we expect from a started dog, Building confidence through new experiences, Teaching a pup to honor other dogs, and introduction of hunting scenarios
Junior Class: How to begin to teach pups to handle, The easiest way to teach a remote whistle stop, Right / Left backs (so important to learn and how we teach them), and Memory retrieves - ladder drills – pattern blinds – confidence for blind work
Senior Class: Putting cold blinds together on land and water, How to teach satellite marks and long singles , The Hunt Dead whistle – why is it important, Putting it all together as a team
Along with all of our training seminars, we will also have some friendly competitions and you could win some great prizes!
Dog Games - Timed Scurry – who has the fastest retriever
Saturday night we will have a crawfish boil and clay pigeon shooting for $25 a person. We love those Crawfish!

Get Your Tickets!!
We will only be accepting 20 dog participants, so act fast! Tickets for participants are $200 and include participation in all training seminars as well as lunch on May 4th and a coffee and donuts breakfast on May 5th!
No Dog – No problem – come on anyway! We are also accepting spectator tickets for $75 a ticket. This includes watching all training seminars and lunch on May 4th and a coffee and donuts breakfast on May 5th.
